All participants enrolled – Approach study reaches milestone!
On January 29, we celebrated a major milestone: all 158 children targeted for inclusion in the Approach study have now been enrolled! This randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled trial is investigating the clinical effectiveness of cotrimoxazole as antibiotic prophylaxis, as well as potential adverse effects and the development of antibiotic resistance.
In the coming months, we will begin the de-blinding process to assess whether cotrimoxazole proves effective in this population. We are excited to move into the next phase and look forward to sharing the results with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
