New postdoctoral researcher Myrthe Reiche will start working on the impact of maternal respiratory infections and immune activation on offspring development
We are excited to announce that we were able to fill in the vacancy for the postdoctoral position on the impact of maternal respiratory infections and immune activation on offspring development, as a part of the PRINDOUT project, with Myrthe E. Reiche.
Academic Background and Expertise
Myrthe received her PhD in cardiovascular immunology at the Amsterdam UMC, after which she moved to Sweden for a postdoc position. During her postdoc at Uppsala University, she focused on B cell biology and immune regulatory mechanisms in type 1 diabetes development.
From Sweden to the Netherlands
As the Swedish winter started to shorten the days, she found the vacancy for a postdoctoral position in the group of Dr. Lilly Verhagen and was immediately interested.
Joining the PRINDOUT Team
After applying and speaking with Dr. Lilly Verhagen, Prof. Chantal Kemner, Dr. Patricia Bruining, Drs. Geert van Weelden, and Dr. Elise Turk, it was decided that she would become a part of the PRINDOUT project. We welcome Myrthe to the group and look forward to a fruitful collaboration!
