Dutch Society for Paediatrics – Science Committee
Scientific research is essential for the continuous improvement of paediatric care. The Science Committee of the Dutch Society for Paediatrics is committed to this goal by connecting, strengthening, and accelerating paediatric research, from fundamental to applied studies. In addition, a yearly science day for Dutch paediatricians and research nurses is organised.

Vaccinology Masterclass
Accredited education in vaccinology for health care professionals, delivering a 2-day course to paediatricians, internists, microbiologists and immunologists and a 1-day course for public health professionals (medical doctors and allied professionals) on a yearly basis.

Young ESPID
A group of under-40s assigned to be the next generation of Paediatric Infectious Diseases experts in Europe and beyond to develop a forum to strengthen paediatric infectious disease clinics and education in Europe and act as a think tank for ESPID.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
This platform offers case-based specialist advice through real-time medical consultations to doctors operating in remote areas. Focusing on pediatric infectious diseases and immunology, Lilly’s consultations aim to support healthcare providers facing challenging conditions and limited resources.
Through the utilization of telemedicine technology, this platform overcomes geographical barriers to provide timely and expert medical guidance. The goal is to enhance patient care and outcomes in underserved communities worldwide.

Radboudumc Travel and Vaccination Clinic
Are you planning a trip to the (sub)tropics, whether for work or vacation, for a short or extended period? Look no further than the Radboudumc Travel and Vaccination Clinic. We warmly welcome everyone seeking advice, vaccinations, health certificates, or prescriptions for conditions such as malaria, altitude sickness, and antibiotics (as needed). But our services extend beyond just travelers. Adults and children alike can visit our clinic when it’s crucial to consider the timing of vaccinations within the national vaccination program, or when additional vaccinations may be necessary. This includes scenarios such as starting or being on immunosuppressive medications, or for individuals with congenital and/or chronic illnesses.
Vlielanddagen (Vlieland course)
This is an annual three-day advanced course in paediatric infectious diseases held on the island of Vlieland in The Netherlands. The course brings together paediatricians, residents, and microbiologists for a unique combination of state-of-the-art lectures, interactive workshops, and case-based learning, all set in an inspiring and informal island setting.
The Vlielanddagen are fully independent of pharmaceutical industry funding and have become a nationally recognized platform for continuing education and peer exchange.
